A portrait of Zdzislaw Majerczy, an ex-coal miner from Katowice, Poland, made in 2025, has been selected for inclusion in Photofusion’s annual members show. Alan has been creating work in Poland, investigating the coal industry, working with Lukas Folda, collecting oral history records from working and retired miners. Work was started in 2023 whilst Alan and Chloe Juno were resident artists at Sala 752 in Zaczernie.
