FEATURE LENGTH DOCUMENTARY FILM (in production)

Oil Sands: Curse or Blessing is a feature documentary that aims to explore the key debates surrounding the Canadian Oil Sands, one of the largest industrial developments in the world. Beginning in 2014, this 10-year long project looks to give a voice to both the pros and cons of such a huge industrial operation, and how it affects the lives day-in and day-out of those who surround it.

Through interviews with a wide range of stakeholders, including politicians, sociologists, activists, First Nations representatives, industry workers and residents, addressing the obvious health or environmental factors, as well as the societal and economic changes that it brings, we get to hear first hand what the impacts of the Oil Sands are, and ultimately, are they a Curse or a Blessing?
